Words

I started Extraordinary Words in 1983 to bring professional marketing style and emerging technologies (at the time, desktop publishing). Through the years, as online channels have emerged, I have provided content for many clients. I am committed to working to create change through creative copywriting; website content and management; book and publication editing; professional proofreading; and multimedia production.

Between Truth and Perception…

words apply truth to shape perception.

Between Idea and Product…

words tell the story behind the idea and explain the product.

Between Problem and Solution…

words define the problem and organize the solution.

Call us when you need…

a product name and tagline that differentiate
a website that captures and engages
a script that outlines the shoot and sequences scenes
a banner or billboard that delivers action
an article that builds authority
a proposal that wins business
a story that moves masses.

Do not be content with ordinary content.

Do not settle for ordinary words.

 Engage Extraordinary Words.

I have written and produced communications for businesses, nonprofit organizations, agencies and artists for more than 30 years. After serving as a military information specialist, newspaper editor and university development publications editor, I started Extraordinary Words in 1983. The early version of Extraordinary Words specialized in bringing the desktop publications paradigm shift to Texas nonprofits. In 1992, I joined one of the pioneer multimedia development firms, Inmar Communications. At Inmar, I wrote and directed multimedia projects for Cadillac, Boise Cascade Office Products, Jeep/Eagle, Buick, Lincoln National Insurance, the U.S. Army Medical Command and other national accounts. In 2000, I worked in various capacities for Kinko’s, then FedEx Office after the purchase in Austin and Indianapolis, and freelanced as Extraordinary Communications. From 2009 – March 2011, I was privileged to serve as senior copywriter for esd & associates. The new Extraordinary Words opened shop on April 1, 2011. I is a graduate of the Defense Information School and the award-winning San Antonio College journalism program.
